It has been an exciting and meaningful week of sharing for Team MAKO. We were privileged to welcome the Senior Leadership from the Republic of Singapore Navy and representatives from the Singapore Maritime Officers’ Union to the SIT campus, where we had the opportunity to share our mission, passion, and ongoing work. During the Singapore Maritime Week (21–23 April), Team MAKO had the opportunity to showcase our brand-new MAKO II-E at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) booth. It was an incredible platform to spark interest and inspire the next generation to explore opportunities in the maritime industry 🌊 ⚓️ Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit, ask questions, and take photos with us! Singapore's Minister of Education, Desmond Lee, Meeting
It was a privilege for Team MAKO to share our submarine, MAKO II-E, with Minister for Education, Desmond Lee, during his visit to the SIT campus. Our team had the opportunity to introduce the work behind MAKO II-E, from design and fabrication to testing and competition preparation, while sharing our journey as a student-led human-powered submarine team. As we count down to the upcoming European International Submarine Races (e-ISR) in Gosport, United Kingdom, we are excited to represent Singapore and the Singapore Institute of Technology on the international stage. We are grateful for the meaningful engagement and encouragement, and we look forward to continuing to push the boundaries of hands-on engineering, teamwork, and innovation. 💪🦈
