MAKO PAST RESULTS
2024 – European International Submarine Races (eISR)
Team MAKO made its international debut at the European International Submarine Races (eISR) 2024 in Gosport, United Kingdom, with our first human-powered submarine, MAKO I. Competing against 11 university teams, we achieved a top speed of 2.6 knots, finishing 4th overall and earning the Best Newcomer Award. This milestone marked the beginning of our journey in international competition, demonstrating our strong foundation in design, innovation, and teamwork.
2025 – International Submarine Races (ISR)
At the International Submarine Races (ISR) 2025 in Carderock, Maryland, USA, Team MAKO competed with MAKO II, our second-generation human-powered submarine. Among 19 international teams, we reached a top speed of 3.465 knots, placing 5th in speed rankings — a 33% improvement over our previous design. This achievement highlights our continued advancements in hydrodynamics, propulsion efficiency, and systems integration, underscoring our commitment to pushing the limits of marine engineering performance.
